Everyone should receive the Emmi Video after they schedule a surgery date. I am not sure if its Nina that sends it or not. This is a great video to watch with your kids because its not graphic in nature and it explains the procedure. I also asked questions at the end and I do believe it was Nina who answered them for me. Make Sure to watch it!! I think it is required before you have surgery by Dr. A. Tammy I. __________________________________________________

No, you're not the only one...actually, I DID watch the video & didn't recall hearing about EXACTLY how long to stay on the liquids. And I figured since people had already been through it, they could tell me about their personal experience. I've never heard of this EMMI video, I don't believe I ever got an e-mail link to it. But I will request it from Nina before my daughter goes for her surgery in July.

Hi Ken, I am going down on the 16 of June. I also live in the Phoenix area. I

watched the video back in April. I thought it answered alot of my question, all

though most of them have been answered on the board thru other posts. Best of

We started using Emmi a couple of months ago to help patients learn more about the lap band and gastric bypass surgery. it is an on line tutorial that we send all patients that are scheduled for surgery. It is a general view on how the surgery works, not exactly how it works here but it useful to see how the band works and what you can expect. Many patients do not watch it, we get a report of weekly and many patients do not watch them, a few get returned as undeliverable and some patients do watch it. If anyone wants to watch one let me know, we need to send it to you with an access code to get in. Nina, it made me think…you should get someone with a digital video camera

to do a short video of the hospital, and Dr. Aceves, and include yourself and whoever

else so that people can meet you guys before they actually meet you guys. J

I also think it is an excellent idea! we even had a person hired to

shoot the short 10 minute video on what to expect, something happend

and the idea did not get approved in Mexicali. Not sure why but I

will bring it up again.
