Guest guest
Lee, I've been implanted for 2 and 1/2 years now and I often use different settings for different situations.. It's not uncommon to experiment to see which works best for you. Guest guest
Lee, You might eventually find one speech strategy you prefer over the other, but the only way to find out is by experimenting. I don't have two different speech strategies, but i do have 2 different ace programs.. My volume is 1200 H and my sensitivity is 900 Ace, but I am going to have my 900 H changed back to 1200 because the sounds are fuller and notmuffled at all where sometimes the 900 sounds a bit muted.. Was just an experiment for me though. I'd talk it over with the audi when you go back the next time. Guest guest
Hi I am going through similar experimenting as you are.I had been using ACE 900 eversince I was implanted with my N24C in 2001..I had one volume and one sensitivity.I then changed to both sensitivity as I don't care for the volume setting.A few weeks ago I tried Speak again and didn't like that at all. Then tried ACE 1200 with Sensitivity and tried it off and on for a couple of weeks..i didn't like it.Then last week I thought I would give it another try and BINGO..I liked it.The sounds are much crisper than with 900..with 900 there seems to be as you desribed it...muffled.I never noticed it before I tried 1200 though..I have found that for me it is best to have 2 different programs..I like to experiment to find the best hearing.I like the sound of music better with 900 but the lyrics are much clearer with 1200.
