I had the same problem. I end up taking the movie back and getting a

refund. Once they even played it on their vcr and the cc worked.. but that

one movie would not work on mine, yet another one I rented did. My grief

is with DVD's that seem to jump back to the beginning during the movie and

for the life of me can not figure out how to get it to where I was last

watching it. While DVD's are neat... being able to rewind to a certain

spot isn't there.
