Guest guest Posted September 18, 2003 Report Share Posted September 18, 2003 CBM Good for you..you are on the way to hearing your grandchildren.I have been hearing impaired since I was 12 yrs old ..going profoundly deaf in 1986.My most difficult time was when I was wearing hearing aids and struggling to hear.Once I went profoundly deaf i realized that there was nothing left to help me so I learned to accept the fact that I would not hear again.BUT THEN..my grandchildren came along and it was so sad when they tried to talk to me and I couldn't hear them.I returned to searching and this time it took only 6 months and I was hearing my grandchildren.I have been blessed with 7 wonderful years of hearing better than I can ever remember hearing in my life.I want this for you too..trust your Dr. but investigate on your own..Good luck tomorrow..
