Guest guest
Hi. I assume the CI has extra things you can use with it like a hearing aid does. Are they pretty much the same thing or are there some things better for the CI and HA? And, Dora, how does music sound to you does it sound normal close to what it did when you heard with hearing aids or does it sound like a chimp munk or something you can't recognize. Can you hear all frequencies with 2 CIs from the guitar to the bass and drums or do you just hear high frequencies. I also have otosclerosis although not in the cochlea and hope I'll be in the percentage that doesn't or that things will somehow very much improve in the next 20 years or so so it's interesting to hear people's experiences although it sounds that with just one ci you miss everything on your other side which I would expect if you didn't wear a hearing aid but don't most people who can still use an aid wear one on the other side or would you still havethe same localization trouble? If you would that doesn't make sense to me how would thatbe be possible. N22 upgrade > Hi Dixie > In deed I do have the N22 ESPrit 3G ..have had it now for three months and it is wonderful.I had not been able to use the telephone ,not even with the adaptor, with my N22 BWP for almost 3 years. Now I just fli[p to telecoil and voices come in very clear. My speech comprehension went up from 44% to 79% the day my N22 ESPrit 3G was activated.Sound is very much like that of my N24C 3G.There were times that I would put my N22ESPrit 3G on first in the morning and I would forget to put the N24C 3G on..when I began my walk i knew it was missing as I was hearing everything on the side of my N22 ESPrit.Music sounds fantastic with either my N22 3G or my N24C 3G but together i hear in stereo.I now know that should something go wrong with my n24C i could get along very well with my N22 ..that was my goal when I began to experience problems with my n22. > > Dora Weber > Nucleus Volunteer Advocate > dora_weber@... > > Bilateral > N22-96 > N24C-01 > Cochlear Otosclerosis > > >
