Guest guest
Hi ! I can't answer specifically for Witnesses. Working with people who have strong religious convictions, I often change the setup phrases to something that resonates with their belief. For example, one might be: " Even though I am SO VERY SCARED AND PANICKED, I ask my body to accept the Peace of Jehovah. " " Even though I am so very scared and feel alone, I choose to know that Jehovah is with me, loving me, and bringing me peace no matter what. " " Even though I feel so anxious and don't think I am good enough, I choose to trust that Jehovah accepts and loves me. " As others have mentioned, it is necessary when working with minor children to get the permission of parents. I'll add asking the child whether they would like to work together. When used in this way, EFT can be a moving prayer, one that acknowledges the fear and releases the energy to the specifically named Higher Power. Guest guest
Hi , Jehovah's Witnesses are very strict when it comes to having anything spiritual other than Jehovah's power and love enter them in anyway. So of course " healing " in any term woulde be out of the question. (along with any form of hypnosis) But I do know that in Japan there are witnesses that go to acupuncture or acupressure to relieve physical symptoms. She may be accepting of it if you explain that this is a form of accupressure for emotions. (not soul) And as Rick suggested, use phrases that would suggest that she is accepting emotional support from Jehovah. Hope this helps. E Dalampan EFT-Japan http://www.eft-japan.com > I have had an enquiry from a friend about using EFT with her granddaughter who is suffering with anxiety and panic attacks. However her family are Jehovah's Witnesses and she was concerned that she may not even want to consider EFT. I personally do not know much about JW's but do have some experience of them turning down therapies such as Reiki and spiritual healing. > > Can anyone please help me understand if she may be open to EFT and if not what part of JW's beliefs would conflict with EFT. > > Many thanks > > Holland > > _____________________________ > Holland MAR EFT-CC > Reflexology in Hitchin, Hertfordshire > and Emotional Freedom Techniques nationwide > www.sarah-holland.co.uk > Visit my website to sign up for my free newsletter > 'Tap Into Your Potential!' > > > > > > > >
