Guest guest
Hi Dawn, I believe that you have discovered the 'head hunger' that has been talked about. Most of us are food addicts..that is why we have gotten to where we are,,,needing a special tool to help us lose. One of my younger sisters has just lost 110 lbs this past year.....can you believe she did it without any surgery. I am so proud of her. She knows though that the hardest part is yet to come...keeping it off. It is totally normal to gain a lot of weight after you quit smoking. You have to do' something' with your hands! Maybe you could take up knitting or something? Well, girl, I am so happy for you that you got to have this surgery. As for me, I continue to waste time trying to figure out how in the world to afford to do this on a fixed income of a pension and social security. I physically can't work (I keep trying to find something on the internet) and my husband just took a job driving cars at a car auction 10 hours a week. Doesn't look like it is going to last long so I think he is going to look for something else. Our 16 year old son takes his driving test tomorrow and we have to figure out how to afford the car insurance. Well, keep up the good work. I am really proud of you for going ahead with the surgery. I know how scary it was for you but just think where you will be this time next year. I am really feeling like i was a "food addict". i have now seen and am still battleing the fact that i ate for comfort, boredom, and to fill something inside me that i still cant figure out what.i walk thru my kitchen just looking, for just something to put in my mouth. it makes me sad to feel this way. no wonder i gained so much more after i quit smoking cuz i have also notice i have a "oral fixation" thing. i need to have something going on in my mouth, i guess thats from so many years of smokeing. I havent smoked in over 5 yrs now, but i guess i replaced my cigarettes with food.wow, what a self discovery this is becomeing and im not liking what i am seeing in me.dawn mDOB 2/3/07280-260-150 8:00? 8:25? 8:40?
