This followed someone mentioning their bowel obstruction - a rare, but known complication. Both my post to them and CLOS, asking for info, never made it to the board. My inquiry to to *please* post data for everyone to be informed also was never responded to. I'm still in a quandry why she doesn't respond to my posts. Is there a change in policy with CLOS? My understanding was the ONLY posts that were censored or not responded to would be those that included foul language. The information I've asked about is: - signs and symptoms of (> 30 day) possible post-op complications - the # and % of bowel obstructions, along with how far out the patients were at the time of the occurance - leak (and recurring leak) rates - chronic diarrhea. How often is it a unresolved for greater than 6 mo? Any other information that informed people would benefit from having. As you all know, I AM post-op. About 7 weeks. I do not regret my surgery at this point at all. I'm down about 27 lbs. I like believing I made an informed decision and continue to be informed and educated. It's the only body I have and I want to know what signals to be listening for . I've posted this on the other board also, hoping to get a response on one of the boards.
