So, what you're telling me is, I wouldn't be getting money?

Drats. How come Rush gets paid so much for spreading what he spreads and I

What I wrote, I wrote we the intention of letting the author of the

original post know how our own fears and anxiety can distort our experience.

Baggie men come out of no where and we imagine the worst. I was laughing at

my own craziness and trying to get him to see his own craziness. You know, I

don't really care what motivates a person to give. What I care about is why

a person has nothing to give. Your (Alison), , and Hal have

all given from the heart as far as I am concerned. You are a Godsend. I

wish there was some way I could meet all of you, for you really are

exceptional givers.

I am not paid by anyone to share what I know has been a miracle in my life.

I do this because I am very grateful for the techology and others did it for

me when I was questioning. Why would I wish to tell someone to do something

that I do not feel is a good thing. I often tell people not to go to

hearing aid dealers who are out to rob them of their money but to go to

reliable hearing aid centers where there are people trained to handle the

needs of those with hearing loss with professionalism. Be careful not to

listen to the promptings of people who have no idea what they are talking

about.

Having the implant is your choice. I made mine. There really was little to

think about. Without it, I would have had to learn to sign and to make sure

my family learned to sign as well as my friends. I figured it was easier on

everyone if I made the change rather than expecting everyone in my life to

try to accomodate me..

Barry, one of our listmembers, is taking care of his father who had a

stroke but I am going to see if I can contact him because he was terrified

and unbelieving just like you seem to be. I can't remember his e mail

address - if someone can please let me know - so I'm going to the chat

tonight in the hopes that he'll be there. You would be amazed at his story.

I do not know one person on this list who was or is not frightened as you

are. We are all human and the unknown was just as scary to us. We all have

the right to choose for ourselves and that choice is still open to you.

compassionate about this. I never dreamed I would go thru this experience.
