Hi Cliff,

I think it is great the Flax Oil heleped.

There are also several things that have also been shown to reduce leukopenia

or

sudden drop in white cell counts after radio or chemo. Namely shark liver oil,

selenium, algal powder and Codonopsis tangshen saponins(a chinese product).

Also after a while the white cell count gradually returns to more normal level

anyway.

However the level of white cell count drop and its duration, is reduced by the

above products.

I had my first phone call conversation with Nina today. I am really

excited about the possibility of having this surgery done. I can't

figure out when to go, though, because of work schedules. I teach

school and have the last week of February/first of March off for Mardi

Gras Holidays but my husband is an accountant and that time is terrible

for him. We may go the week of the 20th but then I don't know what to

do about my children. They can't miss school to go stay with family so

we have to figure all of this out. Anyway, how long did most of you

stay? Does Dr. Aceves only do surgery on certain days? Will he

operate on a Friday by chance?

I sure have enjoyed reading all of the messages on the board. You all

have been most helpful. I'll keep you all posted.
