Guest guest
Hi Les I have recently switched audiologists.I now am having 3 and 4 hr.appts. compared to 1 HR. with my former audiologist..for just a few dollars more.More is getting done in the longer session so there is no need to return as often. Love Dora mapping question I am sending this question to both forums because I couldn't remember on which forum we had a CI audie lurking (so glad we do!) Is it possible for someone who has recently been hooked up to be asked to go for TOO MANY mappings? Thnaks, N24C 2000
Guest guest
Yes! I loved it when my audie could get me either an entire morning or afternoon. I don't really need then anymore but they were terrific when I did. Now my mappings are more like, " ok turn down #22 just a bit and I'll be on my way! That makes sense, particularly if the patient has to travel a great distance to get to the implant center. I'm sure many people face an overnight stay, and in that case, as much ground as possible needs to be covered.
Guest guest
I am on ACE 900 on my Freedom and ACE 1200 on the 3G. Both set at 8 maxima Happy Hearing! You were started on CIS and I began with SPEAK, later trying CIS and ACE and stayed with ACE. Wonder what program most people are preferring? Guest guest
, Actually all the current programs (p1-p4) are on ACE. The audi thought ACE is better because I did use a HAid in that ear for 8 years. Is SPEAK a better strategy to start with? How did you experience the transition in the strategies? Yes you are right, if somebody has done a comparative analysis of the results achieved with different strategies it would have been quite useful. Guest guest
Hi All, There seem to be a good number of Cochlear volunteers on this list. Could someone plese respond: I was activated on Apr 25th with ACE and after 1st remap 5 days ago, the speech perception in the implanted ear is still below 10%. I am looking for some advice on audio rehabilitation. Thanks Aravind =================== --- Partridge <gigabyte@...> wrote: > Hi Aravind & , > > That is really an interesting question about the > preferences of the > different strategies I asked my Audi that very > question.
