Patience is part of the process here so you are getting the chance to use yours

up. Do you have a case manager with your insurance? If so, you might be able

to speed up the process a little yourself and get that approval in shorter time.

The sooner the insurance is approved, the sooner the surgery date is set.

Good Luck! It won't be long before you are looking back at all this and

realizing that the waiting wasn't as bad as you thought it would be and I am

sure you will be all smiles then.

--- the reason why you aren't happy is because it is getting closer

to school if you get a surgery in August. It should be done now.

Maybe you could explain to them that it is better to have surgery

sooner and get ready for school. When is it going to be in the fall

semester? You will have to wait to hookup in 3 to 4 weeks.

Alice,

Can you explain to me more about the case mananger? I don't know if

I have one. How can I find more about it and how can I find out if I

have one too?

Oh boy!!

Yeah you're right! Im very disappointed. I really want to go to

school and I want a degree on my hand already! If I missed this

semester, I'm not going to be happy. I don't like staying home doing

nothing. Doing Yoga, running, and blah.. is good but it's just too

quiet for me.. kind of like isolated.

They're so slow! Sigh...

Alice & the Gang.

I'm a little upset now. The office manager told me and my brother

different story. (a little different) She told my brother that they

haven't contact my insurance yet cuz the surgeon and the CI team need

a meeting first then they will contact my insurance for approval.

The surgeon is on vacation right now and he'll be back on the 12th of

July.

I have this feeling that it won't be done before my school starts.

*Sniff Sniff* <--- Really sniffing!

Even though they haven't contact my insurance yet, can I still call

my insurance and request a case manager?

manager. You call the insurance company and request that one is

assigned to you. They assign you one and this person goes to bat for

you with everything you need as far as your insurance is concerned.

Mine can be like my best friend sometimes and we are on an e-mail

basis. All I have to do is e-mail her and I usually get a response

within an hour. Getting things approved happens much quicker than

you can imagine.
