Dangers of too many ct scans?

My son, 15, is suspected to have a third ctoma. Since he has already had 3 ct

scans in the last 3 years, I am nervous about another one. WOuld an MRI be able

to detect the ctoma or are the ct scans necessary. Thanks for your help!
