Guest guest
Hi ! I've been keeping up with you thru the post...You sound like your doing wonderful..I love your positive attitude...That is what it takes...Without it we may as well throw in the towel...I remember when I came out of surgery and you and then later on stopped in and said hi...I was thinking 'How can this be, they are up and walking and had just had surgery the day before, y'all were even wearing everyday clothes"...And here I lay, hurting, thinking "what have I done"...But as you and everyone else said "It will pass" and it did and before I knew it I was up & walking the next day too... The best thing anyone can do for themselves it to be banded...If only the could know how good it is...My sister is checking into the bypass...I've tried to get her interested in the band but some people just have a certain mind set...She has seen my mom PBing one time to many...I try to explain to her that it's because mom doesn't chew her food up like she should and that she doesn't see me PBing ever...I have, but she's never seen me...It's my secret...lol...But anywho, I'm just glad she's trying to do something about her weight...I just hope (as I've told her it can happen) that she doesn't lose it just to gain it all back years later... Well, I'm soooooo glad your still doing well and loving your band...I love mine too...I've not weighed this week (I will today) but last week I lost 2 pounds...I feel like I've lost more...I did very well what with all the good food I was around... I've gotten lucky, my fill is perfect...I can only eat about 4 to 5 bites of food at one time...I have 1.5 c.c. in my band... How did you do with the holidays? Are you going to the Bandster Bash? I'm hoping to... Well take care and remember to toast all of us bandsters and soon to be bansters on New Years night..."Here's to the losers" Cheers! wendyelam81 <welam@...> wrote: Oh my, well I guess you would know about pain then. I sure was thankful for cream soup though. I had popsicles at work and I had a thermos of chicken broth with me at all times. It was just a matter of getting through those two weeks so I could reclaim my life. I was ready for it. I was in this for the long haul, so I think that's what got me through those two weeks. You just have to go in there ready and willing. I just had plain old chicken broth from a can but I have since read some other suggestions. Lot's of people get different kinds of clear soup and strain the solids out in order to have a different taste. I wish you good luck and you will do just fine. Remember this: I'm 3 months out, looking back it was by far the best decision I've ever made and I wouldn't change a thing. I can actually see myself again. I feel good when I walk into a room. I don't look hideous in this years Christmas pictures. That right there, is priceless. I am so thankful for this chance to live again. Guest guest
Yes, I'm joining the workout challenge...I need some support in that area...I hope you'll consider going to the Bandster Bash...I'm sure it will be loads of fun especially if we're all there...I'm not 100% sure I'm going but time is running out so I need to decide soon... I think I'll start printing these emails and let my sister read them...She won't take my word for it...She just knows with the bypass she'll drop a lot of pounds the 1st year...Not fully understanding that she may gain it all back...Plus it's more dangerous... Don't sweat the 1 pound...You know our weight varys some, it's not that you gained it, it may just be water retention... talk to you soon...Have good day... And have a Happy New Year... It’s the “Oh Hell No” that I keep talking about. Still makes me laugh. Seems like so little to pay for how I feel now. Sometimes I get frustrated though. I gained a pound yesterday. I hate that. I can hardly eat anything, yet I gain a pound. I’m really looking forward to the work out challenge. I needed something to get my off my smaller than it used to be big but. My sisters are struggling with their gastric bypass weight gain. They’ve both packed on the pounds again. My sister Kim asked me about the band at Christmas and I told her lots of by passers get the band for the exact reason she’s thinking about it. I hope your sister will reconsider. By passers pb just like bandsters do. Tell her that. I’ve done it a few times too. I don’t know if I’m going to the bash or not. I hadn’t really thought about it. I guess I better look into that. Good to talk to you Rena. Are you joining the workout challenge? . Thank you, M.
