Thanks for the invite. I submitted my name. I am a licensed clinical

social worker. My client population are treatment foster children

(high-risk) come from backgrounds of neglect, abuse and substance abuse,

who are very much at risk for substance abuse if they haven't already.

Thanks

,

I tried to get on the list and it did not work. Any ideas?

We are treating all addicts in a PHP for " health professionals " and I would

love to be on this list.

Kim,

The actual substance should not matter that much in your approach.

Do your basic supportive therapy - make sure emunctories are able to eliminate the results of the medication:

BTG's

epson salt baths

sauna

constitutional hydros

UNDA 2 20 243 AND 258

Whatever you specifically find for this drug in your research:

B complex

and ???

??

??

etc.

Hey folks,

I have a patient coming to see me who wants help

coming off of a medication called Buprenorphine.  This

is apparently a newer alternative to methadone.  He's

been off of heroine for years but was on methadone for

a while and now on this.  I don't have much

information yet as we have only had a brief consult.

I know his major concerns are insomnia and bone pain.

The bone pain apparently is a withdrawal effect of

Buprenorphine.  I haven't researched the drug yet but

I wanted to get this email out to the group to see if

anyone has had experience with this kind of detox.

I would appreciate any initial ideas anyone might have

as this is new territory for me.  I know I can do alot

with basic naturopathy and drainage but any insights

would be helpful.  I'll keep the group posted as we

progress.  I'll know alot more about this patient

soon.

Thanks,

Kim E. Wetzler

A delayed reaction time but better late then never...

Acupuncture is extremely helpful in easing cravings and getting people off of

all kinds of addictions. If the patient isn't already doing acupuncture it would

be worth considering.

I tap on a food addiction daily with phrases like:

Even though I eat for two but desire to look like one

Even though I eat more than one person is allowed too

Even though I eat foods that I know are bad for my health and figure

I was at 's Dallas advanced EFT 18hr weekend and was it wonderful!!

HelloThe neuroaddict list is now up to 149 members. . I have had a number of people wanting to be members who do not do neurofeedback or biofeedback professionally and have declined their membership as I have wanted to keep this list for professionals only. Therefore I have created a new list for anyone who is interested in biofeedback and neurofeedback and addictions. neurobioaddict/Sincerely Styffe
