Guest guest
I see everyone's success stories and wonder if I am the only idiot. I was banded in Dec 2006 and lost about 20 pounds by first fill in Feb 2007. At the time I was winding up a very nasty dvorce/custody settlement and severely depressed and I regained 10 pounds. One of the anti-depressants makes you gain weight by accelerationg your appetite. I have recently stopped taking that medicine have lost a few additional pounds but not much. I am scheduled for a second fill tomorrow 8/30. I am currently at 1.9cc and I don't know how much they will increase it. I am trying to prvide as much info as possible. Meats are very hard to pass and I usually have to force myself to vomit no matter how much I chew. Same with fruit. Chicken seems to be okay. Are there any suggestions for dieting that anyone can recommend? Has anyone been through this> Much thanks, Trish
Guest guest
Trish: Chicken and fish along with salads are my lifesavers. I have found that I like the 's chilli. The small bowl is about 1/2 cup or so and I also buy their yogurt if I am out and IF I feel like I can eat at lunchtime. Salads are my lifesaviers with grilled chicken. Tonight I had a small plate of spagetti and meatballs and it was delicious. My hubby had dinner ready when I got home--wish he would get that motivation more often, for sure. I will also tell you that the last two nights I could not eat solids at all. You are not an idiot. Losing weight is cyclable (is that a word)? Emotions can interfere with the downward turn. How many life changes can one person deal with at a time. Support your emotional needs, but redirect your desire for food to a couple glasses of fruit flavored propel and a long walk. Every poodle has her day--if not today, then tomorrow! C Tampa From: " njtrish526 " <ajababy2@...> Reply- Subject: Am I the only failure? Guest guest
Trish-- Putting myself on an eating schedule has been tremendously helpful to me, otherwise, I graze all day and eat waaaaayyyy too much. My schedule goes something like this-- 6-7 coffee and water 7ish -- protein shake (fills me up) 7-9:30 -- water (try to drink at least 32 oz. 10 ish-- snack -- cheese stick, or yogurt smoothie or protein shake 11-12 water -- 32 oz 1 -- lunch -- tuna fish, protein shake, something... 3:30-- protein shake 6 -- dinner -- high protein 8 -- snack -- 100 calorie popcorn, 1/2 cup ice cream, cheese stick, protein shake. I monitor my calories -- 800-1200 daily and write everything down. Also -- 30 minutes of cardio every single day!!! You can do this a 2nd fill may help you too. ~~ DOB: 10/6/2006 246/156/
