Guest guest
Where are the pre-ops going to get contacts? The Pre-ops also need to have their questions answered. Who better to help them? Rich Rosko
Guest guest
this kind of attitude is like shooting yourself in the foot. these people are going to be in the same boat as you for the rest of your life. help them, not alienate them
Guest guest
I'm sorry to be a grump, but WHY are there pre-ops on this board asking for contacts? It was my understanding that this board was for post-op people. There is a whole huge board for those who are pre-op, those seeking info and contacts.. Most of us on this board are here because we're interested in POST-op conversation and discussion. The place for pre-ops is on the pre-op board. Don't get me wrong, pre-ops--we'll be delighted to welcome you after your surgery! To whomever does the membership on these boards, please direct people to the right one! Guest guest
I sent a message saying much the same thing a month or so ago. I took a little flak over it, but I think mostly folks agree. I don't think this message board is monitored the same way as the pre-op board; it seems our messages are posted here directly without being read by anybody first. The pre-op board has its messages monitored before they are posted. :-) Kathy in VA 7/6/06 297/205 -------------- Original message -------------- From: Robin Benmergui <rbenmergui@...> You know what, I agree. I am two years post op and read my email almost every night. I spend most of my time deleting emails that have no relevance for me at my stage in this. And again my pet peeve- re using subject lines that don't mean anything and people arranging coffee claches on this groups page. Personal stuff is just that- do it directly to the persons email. It shows up with their message use it. I'm not interested in the shopping and the cute stores in some town somewhere in the US. We are supposed to be using this site to help each other with MGB related questions. Let's keep to that. My son had MGB almost 10 months ago and doesn't check this mail because of the content. Guest guest
Folks. This group used to be so heavily moderated that a lot of folks left because their messages never got posted. When they DID get posted, it took several days. Which would you prefer? I am sure they can put a moderator on this again and maybe just maybe your posted will be seen. a -- Re: POST-op board You know what, I agree. Guest guest
Truthfully, I almost never just post to the post-op board (unless I'm replying to a post-op message) So it wouldn't bother me a bit to have one big happy board. I don't pay any attention to whether messages originate from the pre-op or post-op boards. Just my two cents, of course. Joanie 5/25/04 Drs. Guest guest
I agree. Every night I go through my emails and have many that are just duplicates that are posted on both boards. I would save me a lot of time if I didn't have to delete the duplicates. in NC Joan Baird <jbair001@...> wrote: Truthfully, I almost never just post to the post-op board (unless I'm replying to a post-op message) So it wouldn't bother me a bit to have one big happy board.
