thought I'd join and learn more about CI's since I have a few friends

that are users of CI, and have had good success with it <grin>

moved back to his home country, he said I'd be a good candidate for a

CI once my hearing worsens. I was reading old audiological reports

from growing up and have seen quite a few changes in my hearing. At

this time I am severe to profound bilatirally, but with the use of

high power hearing aids, I hear conversations well, but that

decreases in areas where background noise interferes. I am a guide

dog user, awaiting news when I leave to get my second dog, Bronze was

my first dog. He is a fine black Lab, who barks at doors for me when

I don't always hear people approaching it, etc. He is living here,

and my mother adopted him, so he will still be around to alert me to

things, even though he taught himself that task <grin> He learned

early on, if he whines I can't hear him with or without my hearing

aids, so barking is the way to go LOL!

Welcome to the Group! I'm sure that you will learn a lot about CI here.

I can see that you are the moderators/owners of many dog guides groups! :-)

That's means that it is good that you actaully do know how to work around

groups. LoL.

Jen,

You are everywhere! Where are you at with GDB now? This is a

good list, you will be sure to learn much.

It is far more impressive when others discover your good qualities

without your help.
