Guest guest
Hi hey do you go to the Mayo Clinic in Mn? I would say the ideal thing would be to receive both implants at the same time..then you would have 2 of a kind. But mine were done almost 5 yrs apart so I have a Nucleus 22 and a Nucleus 24C..yes,voices sound different with each one but environmental sounds and music are about the same.Together everything sounds good. I can say without a doubt that I am now hearing better than I have in my entire life.I began to lose my hearing at age 12..had other ear surgeries and wore hearing aids til I was 48.Then became profoundly deaf. Was deaf for 10 years before I received my CI.I heard very well at my activation!!It was like I had been trapped behind a thick black curtain and then was set free!!
