Hi Carla Kay:

I've never heard that taking anti-inflamatories

renders the glocasomine totally ineffective, nor have

I read it anywhere. Yes, I take Motrin and sometimes,

Tylenol, depending on where my pains are. Did your

dr. tell you this? This is disturbing news.

Plus the other day I heard on my local news station

that one should not take a daily aspirin (like for

heart disease) in addition to an OTC like Motrin or

Tylenol. I just don't know what I'm going to do. I

take a daily baby aspirin plus as I mentioned earlier

Motrin almost daily.

Michele

I, too, have taken glucosamine & have found it to be

very

brand-dependent. I

also didn't notice much change unless I'd been off it

for awhile. But

you

said that you had MORE pain on it. I am curious as to

whether you are

taking

any anti-inflammatory meds (NSAIDS)? I was told that

using ANY of

these meds

renders glucosamine totally ineffective.

Blessings,

Carla Kay

Michele,

Now I'll "pipe" in! Are you sure that the aspirin warning included the baby aspirin? My doctor has never mentioned that, and I take it with other things!

Hi Carole,

No, I'm not ABSOLUTELY sure it included baby aspirin.

This was a news report on TV. I had the TV on but was

not totally " tuned in " to it until I heard something

about aspirin and OTC NSAID's. By then the report was

over, and I haven't heard anything about it since. I

haven't called my dr. but I've asked various people I

know, and in particular some nurses who are neighbors

of mine, and no one has heard this! Sorry.
