Guest guest
Dear , How interesting! Let me give it some thought and I'll get back to you.... It's kinda late now and one needs one's shuteye! Some immediate thoughts: 1. you obviously want to bring out what YOU do best with EFT.... so what is that for you, in your practice? 2. which area do you particularly specialize in and use EFT in? what have you had the most success with? 3. In addition, you said you use it as a diagnostic. How, specifically? I would use answers to these questions.....to help formulate the list of questions " that I'd like asked " . Perhaps as you respond and we write back and forth, we can all (members of this list) help you brainstorm! When's the TV show / recording? With many good wishes for a wonderful interview on the show! Regards, Dayu [Tap 'n B Free] Promotion of EFT - help I've been invited to an interview on a local TV show hosted by a chiropracter with an interest in alternative therapies. As a psychotherapist, I've incorporated EFT as a diagnostic tool and treatment modality for the past 5 years in my practice. She wants me to submit a list of questions " that I'd like asked " . What questions would you like someone to ask you? Guest guest
Hi : Here's a few questions . What's your favorite success story? Has EFT helped expand your practice? If so, in what way? How do you think EFT will fit in the larger scheme of things such as in the medicine or holistic practices? Can you see EFT and similar meridian practices becoming a " household " word/practice? Well, there are some questions anyway Lyn --- D'Sa <ddsa@...> wrote: > Dear , > > How interesting! Let me give it some thought and > I'll get back to you.... Guest guest
Thank you for your good wishes! Yourself and others have kindly written with suggestions that need some thinking through. I'll try to brainstorm your suggestions below. In addition, you said you use it as a diagnostic. How, specifically? > Addressing the last question first: In practice, I've tried several ways to introduce the MT technique(s) to clients. Generally, keeping it simple is best so, as PART of an initial interview/assessment procedure, For example, I include MTas a quick practical " tester " on any " minor " difficulty the client may have encountered in the past week. I state that I will explain the results later. Basically, I incorporate the " test " as just another aspect of the fact-finding assessment, but I often get to some core issue(s) very quickly. One has to be careful with this " tester " because the client can get nervous about getting to core issues TOO quickly....... and one may never see them again! They need to feel that they are in a safe, caring place. My main specialty lies in treating addictions and recovery issues. Of course, this usually will result in treatment of anger and anxieties. Frequent comorbid conditions will be Depression, PTSD, ADD/HD and Bipolar disorders. I think what I do best is to stabilize labile emotions, so that the client's thinking has a chance to straighten out AS A CONSEQUENCE ......... which is exactly opposite to the techniques of Cognitive-Behavioral therapists! Improved thinking, based on emotional stability, leads to improved daily stress management skills and opens the door for CBT methods to help later at the appropriate time. So what sometimes takes years of CBT treatment to achieve WITHOUT RELAPSE (most CBT studies have no follow up after 6 months) can be achieved much more quickly with MT. You all know this anyway!!
