Guest guest
Four months has come quicker than I would like. A lot of running around early in the month and some less-than-perfect food choices because of it, my weightloss slowed quite a bit this past month. I know I should not complain about loosing 8lbs but I know it could have done better. I also went for about a month without doing any real exercise, which I'm sure didn't help the situation; however, I have gotten back into the gym for the past week. I love to workout but after you miss a couple of days it is hard to re-motivate, and the down side to lifting weights is you tend to have a little slower weight loss but that is when you need to look for the NSV's - I thinks it time to go buy a pair of shorts that are a couple of sizes to small and try those on after every way-in, that way even if the scale doesn't move as much as I would like it to the shorts should fit a little better each time. I also find that taking pictures tends to help a lot, though I have a very critical eye when looking at my self I can notice changes every few days. My big question I have, and its one I have been thinking a lot about since (congrats again!) reached your goal, is what do you do when you reach your goal? It may sound stupid but several things weigh on my mind. We on this board have spent huge chunks of our lives trying to loose weight, we live and breath " Diet " how do we make that transition from loosing to maintaining, do we panic when we reach our goal but step on the scale three days later to find that we have gained 2 pounds back? Do we loose an extra 10 lbs to have a " buffer " ? do we stop wieghing our selves?. I know I may sound stupid but this is something that is never realy discussed here and I knew in the past that I would never probably reach any goals I had for my self so i have never thought much about it. I realy appreciate any thoughts any and all on this board may have. I want to start preparing myself for next May 25th (my 44th birthday) when I step on the scale and it show 195lbs what should I do next? Guest guest
Hey Ken, That's a great question!! You look great!, by the way!! I can really see the 69lb loss!! Your doing awesome!! I am at goal and am not sure how to stay at goal, but I am just doing what I have been for the past few months. I have stopped at 140lbs and that's great. If I notice the scale "creep-up" I'll go get a tweak I guess. I think it's realistic to expect a few pounds in fluctuation so a "range" is what I'm trying to maintain like...137-143 (more or less). I just hope "hunger" doesn't come back when this fill wears-off ..hahaha.I'm prepared if need be with fill dates:) I wish you continued success!
