Thanks for the info...I put the oil steeped with garlic in his ears but could

not tell a difference. I remember when I was little and had chronic EI, my mom

did the olive oil and I just waited it out with a heating pad until the long

delayed and anticipated POP came and I was on the road to recovery! I have not

heard about onion juice or Breastmilk though! I will have to look into that

one...thanks again to EVERYONE for sharing your experiences and insights!!!!!! I

did give 1/2 of a dose of pain reliever at 6 am and he slept soundly till 10 am.

But by then his fever had broken and I felt better about it.

Have you tried onion juice OR olive oil (slightly warmed before

putting in

ear)? Both terrific remedies for ear infections, and usually have an

immediate impact on the pain as well, but if they don't reduce the pain in

15 to 30 minutes, I'd consider one dose of pain reliever to take the edge

off. The body heals when it gets rest, which can't happen if the child is

in constant pain.

Just wanted to add in that I have also heard of the success of

breastmilk and onion. I had chronic ear infections as a child, and I

still get 1-2 each year. I use mullein oil mixed in with garlic oil.

It knocks them out right away.

>Hi Sheri,

and how sick he was. I had been in the mountains for Thanksgiving and

brought my remedies with me. I treated him with Chamomila 200C for 24 hours

and did not get an improvement. When his symptoms changed and he started

discharging from the eyes and ears I consulted my Miranda Castro book and

felt he needed Pulsitilla which I administered in 30C for 2 days and still

no improvement-he acted and looked as if he was getting worse. So I called

her and made an appt. She then gave him a 200C of Lycopodium, in one dose

and said not to retreat for at least two days...I thought from your

teachings I would keep giving until it showed signs of improvement. Last

night he was just laying in the bed writhing in pain with a constant weak

whining. I thought perhaps the treatement was working in the way of getting

worse before getting better. This morning his fever has broken, his eyes

are no longer discharging (I put a

> lot of Breastmilk in them) and he seems in better spirits. I can tell

though that his ears still bother him-just not in such an extreme manner.

What do you think? Do you think this remedy will aid in healing his

earache? From a hom standpoint, what do you do now?

You don't repeat 200C as you do 30C....................especially if it is

a constitutional

And you never repeat without succussing and making a higher potency, in water.

> Thank you for all the information on earaches and antibiotics....just

what I needed to hear to strengthen my resolve. My son likes to lay in bed

while nursing through the night...could this cause his ear infection?

Should he be upright when he is eating?

No, this isn't causing his ear infection

Again read the article I sent

sounds like he is improving, but nto sure its the Lyc

How did you give it? In water? How did you repeat it?

Just know that when we are ill our liver is working overtime, or sometimes

we are ill becuase we are toxic and the liver is toxic

Giving any drug including pain relievers only adds insult to injury with

the liver

I know it is hard to see your kids in pain

But by taking away every painful thing we teach them that they should not

have to feel pain, that pain is bad, to not trust their bodies, etc. That

is part of it too.

It is hard

Try ear drops for swimmer's ear. There are different types of ear

infections. My kids had one after another and it would not go away. Two

different pediatricians, two prescriptions of antibiotics for 20 days in

a row.Went to laringologist-(forget pediatricians or worse family

doctors. They prescribe antibiotics as it were candies.)Laringologist

did testing, cleaned kids ears and suggested that I use ear drops for

swimmers(it's basically vinegar and alcohol-helps keep the ear canal

dry,so nothing can grow in there) ear after any exposure to water (hair

washing, swimming, shower, etc).Infection went away in two days.Kids have

not had one infection since.
