Guest guest
Hi guys: my name is sreedhar mallepaddi. I have been reading the CI forum once in a while when i get time. not as often .I wish i could. I was born deaf with a sensorineural deafness. have not gotten a CI yet. I am waiting for the right time. *sigh*. who knows when. hahaha. I wear impact BTEs. I moved out from the east coast to the west coast 2 years back(US). I was looking for a cell phone for weeks, the one that let me IM r send SMS. I could not interprete voices on the phone and so i think it doesnot make sense having a voice plan. none of the cell phone providers provide SMS services without a voice plan. i tried all the carriers, ATT, singular, tmobile, sprint, verizon. I asked them if it is possible to have SMS without a voice plan for deaf. the sales men said, it is not possible. I almost bought a verizon voice plan with unlimited text messaging, when ATT launched ogo recently. http://www.attwireless.com/cell-phone-service/ogo/index.jhtml That really solved my problems. thought i can share it with you. we can make TTy calls using aim. whew. do any of you have cell phones with text messaging only? , I am sorry to hear about you having a near missed. But I am glad to hear that u r ok. take care and have a nice time. hasta la vista
Guest guest
I'm sorry...I don't know your name but thank you for your kind e-mail! I'm feeling much better this evening. <smile> I wish I could answer your question but I haven't a clue about cell phone technology -- let alone computers. LOL! Hope you find the answers you're looking for!

Just 30 a month. mallepaddi <mallepaddi@...> wrote: Hi guys: my name is sreedhar mallepaddi. I have been reading the CI forum once in a while when i get time. not as often .I wish i could.
