Guest guest Posted September 28, 2004 Report Share Posted September 28, 2004 I'm going to be honest here. The latest news has influenced my decision as to which implant I have selected. Due to the present circumstances and for my own peace of mind, I've decided to get the Nucleus. I've read *everything* I could from Clarion users, Nucleus users and the Internet. No one wrote me privately to sway me one way or another. If anything, all of the people I've communicated with (CII, HiRes 90K and Nucleus users) have been objective and for that, I thank you. Over the past 24 hours I've lost sleep mulling over this recall because last week I was 100% certain that I wanted the HiRes 90K. This morning I e-mailed my surgeon to find out what his thought were. He did not influence my decision but instead encouraged me to discuss this further with my audi tomorrow and to make a decision I felt most comfortable with. I hope those of you I have communicated with on the ClarionCI and CI-Clarion-2 lists will understand how I feel right now. I hope I can continue our communications because I've really enjoyed them!! Since I am no longer pursuing the 90K as my implant, I understand that I may be asked to leave the CIClarion list. I am saddened by this entire situation but in the end, I need to listen to what my heart is telling me. I really do hope I can remain friends will all of you.
