What remedies would one take for this overburdening of the spleen to help with the pain? Is there a website about pain from spleen? I figured out that my pain was probably caused by stomach overacidity from taking too many supplements as when I took medication for stomach acidity it helped to ease the pain. I took a Homeopathic Remedy called Hylands for Indigestion and also aloe vera gel with honey first thing in the morning which helped, as the pain was worse 1st thing in the morning. Does anyone has any other remedies for this condition of too much stomach acid? I am also planning to do my 12th Gallbladder Cleanse this weekend, as I have been having a lot of pain in the gallbladder as well lately. My diet is not good as I work, and am in the fast lane, trying to do too many things at one time with not enough time to plan stuff to eat, so for lunch at work I grab what I can, but there is not much choice unless I bring my own lunch. Any ideas for simple quick healthy lunches for people with gallstones? I find that with too much fat in food I get a lot of pain and also when there is no fat at all I still get pain. The trick is to figure out how much fat you can take withoug causing a lot of pain.

Guest guest
I had pain in my left side for a good 3 weeks. It is gone now, thank goodness. That was definitely the worst part for me. I even emailed Dr. Aceves about it, and he just said it would get better with time. He is right, you just have to wait it out. C. DOB 3/13/06 230/112/145 Pain in left side I have been reading about the pain in the left side after surgery. I too am having the same pain. Marsha described it best as a searing, tearing pain. It feels like someone is holding an iron up to that spot on the left side. I think that is where my port is. Marsha when you hear back about it let us know OK? That is the worse part right now. I do have to say that the pain was much better today but the last two days it was miserable. Kyla- 33 pounds! Wow! You go girl! That is awesome! I am glad you are doing well and feeling good. Tell your mom Hi for me. I am down 11 pounds and counting. Woo Hoo! Ginger I am so glad you had a great time in San Diego at the zoo and stuff. I was completely exhausted the day I flew home. Plus it seems like the minute I stepped into my house the diarrhea hit me hard!! I am still having alot of gas and diarrhea but it is getting better. I also have the same shoulder pains I had when I was in the hospital but it is alot better. If I could get rid of the diarrhea I would be a happy gal! I am having a really hard time with the broth as it is so salty. I water it down as much as I can. The Gatorade is so sweet I have to water that down too... so I am pretty much eating jello, popscicles and drinking water. I plan on going to GNC in the morning for some Isopure. Glad to hear everyone is doing well!
Guest guest
I too had those pains but I am 12 days after surgery and it is gone (except when I drink HOT liquid too fast OR have apple juice. I am thinking its gas. At first you have the gas from the surgery to get rid of. Apple juice really makes a lot of gas. Take a gasx pill it helps. If you are sitting down stand up a few times, if you are standing sit down and get up a few times I have also found that to help. I also had to quit drinking " ice " water.(with ice cubes) I found that " ice " drinks give me that same pain. And I also started letting my juice/Gatorade (whatever I was drinking) get room temp before drinking..... Pain in left side I have been reading about the pain in the left side after surgery. Guest guest
Jenn, I am still waiting to hear back from Nina what Dr. Aceves thinks about the left side acute pain attacks. I am now wearing the rib belt constantly (except when lying down) and as long as I am supported with that I have no pain. Until I hear back I will just continue to wear it and hopefully whatever it is will heal up. Other than that I'm doing great, lost 10 pounds, and walked 2 miles today. I must say I can only do one bowl of broth a day as I get the runs from it, I like the Isopure myself except for the chalky aftertaste, I do one bottle each day through the course of the day and jello about 2 to 3 times a day and hot tea. I am pretty satisfied but sometimes when I get a whiff of something good or I am cooking for my family, I have to remind myself that I am on clear liquids still. Hope your doing well!! Sorry so long, I don't post often, because I tend to be a little long winded.
