Guest guest
Wow Abby - reading that gave me chills! Delayed benefits are common. -Beck onlypositivethoughts <onlypositivethoughts@...> wrote: Hi, I wanted to thank everyone who responded to my question yesterday regarding EFT and ADD/Giftedness. I brought up all the information that you all so lovingly provided and after that my son sat down, read it all and tried to implement it. Guest guest
Abby, please tell me (the group) what exactly you or your son said while tapping? Maybe I'm just a little bit too caught up in " what to say " .Feel freet to e-mail me off list if you wish. My son has a definate wiggle problem in school. While I think he's just a typical boy in that respect, he gets bored at school and really doesn't like it much. I wonder if tapping would help with that. I don't want to change who he is, but if he could focus just a tad more, sit still just a tad longer, maybe he'd like school just a tad more. KWIM? I've enrolled him in a new school with more TAs and smaller class sizes, but I don't know when he'll get in there. He's on a wait list. Guest guest
EFT might be a help to your son. I have no doubt that learning it early in life would be a big help to anyone. One thing I can tell you that your son needs from his parents is the same thing all children need from their parents. He needs for his parents to be patient as he gets through through these fears. He does not need to be rushed through them. Whether EFT works or not rushing him to cure these fears over night is going to add to his anxiety over them. he needs to know that he has as long as he chooses to take to deal with this and that he has your support for as long as it takes. This may be frustrating for you, but don't forget - he is the one dealing with this. If you rush him to deal with these fears because it is frustrating for YOU, his anxiety level is going to grow and you may be doing more harm than good. You can't expect a 7 year old to deal with fears or anxiety the way an adult or even a teenager does. Again, if EFT works - great. If it does not work so well in this case, it should defititely prove to be one of those " life tools " that he will surely feel lucky to have acquired very early in life. But either way, please, trust a stranger on this one. There is no magic solution that will cure his fears overnight. If you try to rush this thing you might do more damage than good. EFT or no EFT he will mature out of this phase. That is what it is. It is a phase and it is perfectly normal and natural for a young boy his age. RE: [One_EFT Healing Highrise] Thank you! Guest guest
[Trimmed by Moderator] Ron, I appreciate where your coming from however, this is not a situation where my son is 7. My son is 19, and he is able to do as much as he feels he can do and it is his choice and not mine or my husband's. How you can " tell " me what my son needs from his parents is presumptive on your part. My son has been afforded all the love and support possible throughout the years in this instance, and all others as well. Any parent who " rushes " a child, or anyone else for that matter, IMHO, is not at all supportive but rather careless. You " assume " that we're rushing him and where you got the idea that he is a 7 year old is beyond me. He is in his 3rd year of university, going into his last and my inquiries resulted from his asking me to check into it. Now, before you " presume " anything more, it may behoove you to get your facts straight but of course, that too is IMHO. Abby Ron Boutwell <ronboutwell@...> wrote: EFT might be a help to your son.
