Guest guest
Hi folks, I had my surgery on Jan 5/07 in Bay City. I was the only person having the MGB that week - so I had no litter mates. Has anyone else had their surgery in the last couple of weeks. It would be great to be able to talk to someone about the whole process. So far I have lost 15 pounds and am very pleased. Guest guest
Hello, I just had my surgery on Jan 10th in Las Vegas- I have been home now for 4 days. We had 6 in our " litter " on Wednesday and 2 on Thursday. I have lost 10 pounds so far. I am excited about the prospect of seeing some of this weight fall off in the weeks to come. So far I am still on stage 1 and thinking about starting stage 2. After re-reading the info in the manual since I've been home, I am starting to worry that I am eating or drinking too much at a time. It is more than a couple of tablespoons. How would a person know if they have distended their stomach, and disrupted the staple line? I am doing well, feel fine, and have no pain. Just 2nd guessing myself as usual. I am never hungry. I have to pretty much remind myself to eat. I try to remember to sip sip sip Gatorade all day. I always have some nearby. But I don't " pee " much (1-2 times a day). And it is still pretty dark yellow. I didn't have any water retention before surgery, and no congestive heart failure, and no wheezing in my lungs, so that is probably why I haven't noticed the massive diarresis that Dr. R tells us we should have. Has anyone else wondered these things? I am sort of a worrywart and when something is new to me I tend to ask a lot of questions to see if I am " normal " or not. Anyway, I am so happy to be part of this new post-op group now, and I will kepp you all posted on my progress.
