I have been making the tea for about 5 years. When I moved from VA to Texas my scoby did not survive. Recently someone sent me another one and I started making a new batch yesterday. It is not only delicious but has many health benefits. Anne TexasGayla <aeranch@...> wrote: Does anyone on here make kombucha? I am curious about it. I just started making kefir from my goat milk and it is unbelievable good. And I have no bad reaction the way I do with milk. I am going to convert some grains to water grains, so I will be making kefir with fresh squeezed juices. Not yet - I've only made 2 batches and haven't been steady enough at taking it. Not to mention trying to hide it in our green tea in low enough doses my husband doesn't mind. LOL!!!! To me it tastes great and I'll drink it straight up. But he insists it smells and tastes just like pickle juice.

I am thinking of trying it. Have you noticed any health changes?

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead.

Sorry been gone... I used to make it... I liked it... it depends on the type of tea you use with it Gayla as to the taste. SuziGayla <aeranch@...> wrote: I am thinking of trying it. Have you noticed any health changes?

I remember one person on here who was almost a kombucha fanatic - she named her scoby etc. I read miracle cures all the time and am wondering if anything is true about it. One way to find out...

Re: Kombucha

We had a lengthy discussion on kombucha a year or so ago. It sounds nothing short of miraculous.Peace, love, laughter>> Does anyone on here make kombucha?

I found you can hide almost anything in smoothies.

I only let mine go for 10 days in the closet with the hot water tank. Keeps it at a constant temperature, no light and it never gets disturbed. If I forget it and let it go more than 14 days then it tastes like vinegar and I use it on my hair.

With the kefir, it only takes about 12 to 24 hours. I am going to try juice kefir and see how much time it takes.Ten days - I would probably forget it.
