******* Thats an interesting thought, Lyn. I remember how I could

release feelings by doing Tai Chi also, it also makes one very aware of

different areas in the body and restores an energy flow through these parts.

Also I think that EFT makes one disidentify with the emotion and this is

partly why it works.

Your comment is of great value to me, I like your phenomenological expressions

- what actually happens is hard to say, but what we can is express how it

*feels* and, yes, these words fits how I also feel it, when it happens. Very

much the same as if I am doing " The Work " (Byron ) if any of you are

familiar with this - www.thework.com

This is working with the thought aspect of the problem. I find it interesting

that you, Lyn, stresses that its important to name the feelings rather than the

thought, when doing EFT. Is of the same oppinion? Maybe I overlooked

when watching the CDs.

Zivorad? This name has been mentioned before, have never heard about him. I

like the thought, as it lifts the proces from being just elimination of unwanted

feelings. And I dont find that EFT in the long run can be done on " automatic

pilot " , i.e. in an unconsious way. Actually I find, and I am not sure that I

am right about this, that EFT by itself cannot be a " road to freedom " but only a

tool that can make the trip a little easier sometimes.

I mean to find that one is more than that emotion. When we are overwhelmed or

stuck in some emotion its probably because we ARE that emotion, there is no

space in between, so we dont *have* a fear, we ARE fearfull.

Hm... schools have different ideas on how to approach emotions, there are some

schools advicing people to " be the observer " to the feeling (Echkart Tolle is

one of them. Gendlin (focusing) another. And the buddhists). To detach

oneself. Then there are the opposite, DeRuiter for example, and I guess

also Krishna Murti, who advocates to BE the emotion, and by this go beyond it.

The approach of " becoming the emotion " is much safer with EFT, as one can tap

oneself out of it when it becomes heavy. I remember I tried this one day, and

it really worked. But its very different from one of s approaches, were he

have the person guess what the SUD would be if he was feeling the emotion. This

doesnt seem to work for me, but for strong anxiety I think it would be good.

Hi Marc,

I have been doing EFT for almost 5 years now and I found early on that if I

have tried everything and still not getting results, if I imagine the tapping,

I get results everytime. I don't know why and I don't know if it would work

for you but it does for me and I just thought I would share just in case. Just

sit and relax, close your eyes if you want to and go through everything right

in your head. Even the setup and the sequence and the 9 gamut if you need it. I

know it sounds crazy but I guess I can't complain...it works, for me.

Have you tried working with a partner? Are you using the 9 gamut and the

floor to ceiling eye roll? Have you tapped along with the tapes as a borrowing

benefits type session?

I know it works great for insomnia.

Let me know if this helps you at all because I would be interested to know

that I am not some kind of odd ball, lol.

Oh yes and if you use it for constipation? Make sure you are near a bathroom,

lol. I could tell some stories but I will save that (smile)

Blessings,

Hi Marc

This can happen sometimes, especially in the early days, when your

subconscious really doesn't want to give up control over your body.

The list of problems you mention may be exacerbated or controlled by the

subconscious. If you have a very strong subconscious, it can often work

overtime to prevent you from changing ... It can think that it's doing the

right thing by you, that you are going to hurt yourself if you change the

status quo, etc.

I have a daughter who is like this ... Only a professional person with a

very strong will is able to get past this blockage for her. On the other

hand, I have been having treatments of various kinds for several years, so

my subconscious has had time to see that it's not 100% correct all the time,

and so it's now willing to let me take more control over these things. Mind

you, as most others on this list will tell you, it doesn't give itself up

easily, and it still hangs on to some things very tightly! (for me, its my

weight and food allergies, but I am now finally making some progress here -

had a risotto that was flooded in cream, plus alcohol, last night and I

haven't suffered any side effects - almost a miracle for me!)

Something I have done over the past few months is talk to my subconscious -

tell it that I know it has my best interests at heart, thank it for all the

work it has done over the years by protecting me, then bargaining with it to

let me take control in specific areas. It didn't like it at first, but now

it's starting to trust me and to relinquish control.

Don¹t give up - take a different approach!

Best wishes

Vivienne

I suspect it is all part of your reversal problem ... Your body doesn't Want

to be tapped on -

One of the ways I can tell if a point is actually storing some negative

energy is the level of pain at that point. I've found the level of pain is a

good indicator of how long I have to keep tapping on a point ... The more

pain, the longer I tap that point.

My daughter (the one who's subconscious really works hard at not letting her

get better) was completely unable to touch some points (or even get her hand

anywhere near the points) the first time she did EFT - we had to interrupt

the session, do two rounds on not being able to touch those points, then

continue the session.

Keep tapping - if you are really reversed, the progress can be quite slow to

begin with, but over time, you will find the speed of healing can speed up

quite dramatically! (it did for me!)

Best wishes

Hi Ole,

How I view it is that the tapping " frees " the energy blockage that is

holding on to the emotional energy and we then are no longer

" attached " to that emotion.

I have talked to several people about how it almost feels like an

empty space has be created when the emotional attachment disappears.

I believe this is where Zivorad advises us to fill that emptiness

with conscious awareness, which is at a higher vibrational level than

the previous emotion. In that way, we not only free ourselves from

emotional negativity but also raise our own consciousness, where we

will not be so vulnerable to these emotions. Consciousness increases

our power to make better choices!

I also agree with you about the man who cried for the first time.

This is a powerful release outlet. I too feel that the treatment was

successful. This has opened the door for the man to get back to being

fully conscious of who he is and that there is more to him than just

a physical body.
