Guest guest
Hi, Jo, good question..and one that's been asked many times on the list, so do a search for the word " surrogate " on the archived messages and see what comes up. Lovely answer, Jef.thank you for your input, and yes, it often works well on one's closest relationships, and it is extremely helpful in times of stress. Since he's right there, I often ask my husband permission - and say something like, " I notice you are stressed out right now. May I work surrogately on you? " and he'll often say yes. Sometimes we are angry with each other, and he'll still say " yes. " I guess he has also learned how effective it is after repeated use. For some reason it works extremely well when he's in the shower, and I'm working on him surrogately!!! Recently, I haven't had to do any surrogate work on him at all. The need for it gradually dwindles too. It's also good for crying babies on planes, etc.but make sure that you are feeling good before you take on someone else's energy to work on. Sometimes these days, if I've feeling too jetlagged myself, I won't bother with EFT - I'll do something more physical (instead of EFT) like giving the parent the suggestion of letting a child suck on something while landing - it helps release the ear pressure.and often the child will stop crying. Surrogate work is very good, but you need to know how to keep your own boundaries intact while doing it, and also not to violate other people's boundaries. I usually ask the Higer Self of the person concerned - and if I get a " Yes " , I proceed. If I get a " No " , I don't. One must respect boundaries. If you find yourself still holding on to remnants of the other person's energy, then you need to release it and hand it back fully at the end. Make sure you are free of their energy - muscle test to check if you are clear.otherwise send it back.or release it into the Universe. Hope that helps add to your list of answers to this question. May I ask in what context you'd like to use it? Perhaps if the question is more focused, so can the answer be more tailored to your needs. Guest guest
Hi Dayu, how can you send back remnants of the other person's energy? Thank you! Guest guest
Hi thanks for your responses, I had read about the surrogate tapping and wondered how it would work. I shall have to give it a try to see what the affects are. Now I know how it can be used I could use it on my daughter, who likes to do tapping but gets bored with the sequences. So she is someone I could use it with. Likewise my husband if he has issues I can use it for him if we are both present (and he agrees) and he can carry on what he is doing and I can tap for him.. although ultimately I suppose he should be learning how to speed up his tapping so he does it automatically for himself. My son already does it for himself (he is 10) and shows his friends at school if they are distressed. I suppose it's something to be tried before believing fully. I shall have a look on the search through the posts. Thanks again I also use EFT a little with my clients (I do hypnotheraopy, psychotherapy and NLP) and some clients porbably wouldn#t feel comfortable doing the tapping. I could suurogate tap, with higher self permission... just a thought. Guest guest
Hi Jef, thanks for your reply. I have never done surrogate tapping before so I shall give it a whirl with one of the family. What interested me from your post was that you mention muscle testing. Do you mean kinesiology testing and how would you do this in a surrogate way? Thanks Jo " Be all you can be "

" What I use to muscle test is called the donut method. You take your middle finger and thumb and make a donut out of them -- like making an O.K. except you use your middle finger instead of you index finger. Then you use your index finger and thumb on your other hand to try and pry apart the donut. I saw this on the Steps Towards Becoming the Ultimate Therapist DVD and found it to be my prefered method of doing surrogate muscle testing. Also, I like it because I can do it anytime and anyplace without other people looking at you funny ) Very discrete. Another technique I like to add is that, a lot of times, I simply tune into my own intuition to get an answer. I find that the answer to many of the questions come back almost before I finish asking the question. This is even more discrete than the donut method and something that's well suited for public places. I usually use this when I'm in a casino and am looking for a machine to play. To date, I haven't lost a nickle and have walked out of the place dollars ahead ;O) Granted, I'm not a big time gambler as I limit myself to $5.00 a visit, once every two weeks. And could care less about whether I win or lose. Give those two techniques a try and see what you think. -Jef
Guest guest
I had a funny moment earlier. I've wanted a second hand colour laser printer for a while. It's in my special wish list folder (master key/ the secret). Today I really felt " lucky " and up popped a message earlier. I have got it. so I guess if I do the eft I shall be lucky too ;o) I have used the kinesiology for a number of things, including what bothers me and what food/makeup affects me. with huge success and you are right. It is very discrete. I am quite excited to have a go, but the kids are in bed now and I don't know if anything is bothering them today, they seem fairly happy. The only time I have ever been to a casino I walked in and my grandad had given me some money. I put it in the machine and it paid out BIG time! about 800 dollars the bells went off and I thought, " what have I done?? " the lady came to check the machine. so I asked my mum to sit and play the one next to me. she put two coins in and her buzzer went off, 700 dollars... very exciting for two english people ) but I feel lucky... I coild now do with a few £'s to poay for the laser printer hee hee! seriously though. I am going to use the surrogate thing a lot I can see that. Thanks VERY much!!!!!
