Guest guest Posted November 5, 2006 Report Share Posted November 5, 2006 " CHOCOLATE " TURTLES by Alissa Cohen These decadent little sweets are the perfect raw food " candy " . 1/2 cup carob powder 1 cup raw honey 1/8 teaaspoon vanilla 2 cups walnut pieces 1. Mix the carob, honey and vanilla together in a medium sized bowl. 2. Stir in the walnuts until well coated with the carob honey mixture. 3. Place spoonfuls of the combination onto Teflex sheets on top of mesh dehydrator screen. 4. Dehydrate for 24 hours at 105 degrees. Notes: The walnuts will tend to stick out of the mixture and the mixture may spread. Try to keep it as " together " as possible in small circles. At the end of the dehydrating time, your turtles might not seem done, they'll be very sticky. Give them time to cool off, and they will harden.
