Guest guest
I’m not sure if anyone has explained Nioxin to you or not – but in order for it to work properly and for you to get the full benefit from it – you need to be using all of the product line – it’s really not a good idea to mix product lines when you are using Nioxin. Other products will clog the pores and reduce everything that Nioxin is trying to do….just thought I would throw that to anyone that is using it… A. la Dolce Vita Salone & Spa 320.259.6682 320.259.0499 (f) From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of dawnita3@... I use the cond. too cuz I have colored hair, and the scalp treatment once a week. Guest guest
OH...It is Nutriox that I got! On the bottle it says use everyday so that's what I've been doing. I guess I'll give it the month and then go to once a week. Penny __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Actually...that isn't totally true...I have been in the barbering business for over 22 yrs. Nioxin (brand name) just uses that method of teaching to get people to buy MORE of THEIR products. I use the generic Nutri-ox and have also used the Folicure lines from Sally Beauty with excellent success for both my clients, and my own family. It is important for people to understand that whatever conditioning products they are using, however, are to go on the HAIR not the scalp. Even nioxin's conditioner is too heavy for use on the scalp. (skin, not hair) Styling products in general...are the most misused...again, they go on the hair, not the scalp..and even those who say that they don't flake, will, if you use too much. Most styling products are concentrated so only the size of a pea is sufficient for most people's hair....put ANY product in the palm of one hand and rub your hands together...hair products emulsify and seem to "grow" to more than you originally had. This is how good stylists keep their own product use down, but they often don't teach their clients because they want to sell more product to the client... I taught for quite a few years too...and I have kind of a different philosophy than some salons project...they make it so their stylist HAS to push product to make any money. I would rather sell less product, make good recommendations for use, and keep that client coming back for a longer time for the service I provide on the hair I have helped them retain.BIG HUGS, AND GOD'S BLESSINGSDawnita MayLowpass, Oregon10/05/05 dob "Iraida" 209/167/135 5ft 3inches See Mylatest photos at: http://dawnita1961.myphotoalbum.com/
Guest guest
So, let me get this straight. I have been using the Nutri-ox shampoo, conditioner and treatment. I am not to get the shampoo, conditioner or treatment on my scalp???? How does the treatment work if it doesn't go on my scalp? I noticed that the treatment does make my skin red where it touches it. It recommends I wash my hands after applying it so I have been and I also rinse off my hair brush too. Am I right NOT to put the treatment on my scalp? Guest guest
No...lol..the treatment DOES go right on your scalp. You are using the full line...and it is fine if it gets on the scalp. Conditioners tend to be thick and contain oils that clog follicles tho. I use the treatment too, but only once a week.BIG HUGS, AND GOD'S BLESSINGSDawnita MayLowpass, Oregon10/05/05 dob "Iraida" 209/165/135 5ft 3inches ***30 lbs to GOAL!!*** See Mylatest photos at: http://dawnita1961.myphotoalbum.com/
Guest guest
Okay, Now I think I've got it! I got the whole set in a package and it is supposed to be for 1 month so I'll give it a month to do it's job and then maybe taper off to once a week on the treatment. Thanks again, Penny __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I don’t know how long you have been on Nioxin/nutria-ox – but we always tell everyone they need to give it at least – a good 90 days before you may start to see results. We deal with chemo patients and if they are faithful – this is an amazing product. We also carry one called ‘phyto’ thinning hair for women and one for men – love this product also. All of this works if your hair is falling out naturally from medication, surgery, stress, etc. NOTE: It does not work if you have anxiety attacks and pull your hair out – then you will either ‘Loosen’ your hair and/or ‘Lose’ your hair and then you will fee really ‘Lost’. Hair today Goon tomorrow!
