Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the condolences. Much appreciated. I have been behind on my website too! I need to update. I am glad my web site has helped someone. That is why I built it and hopefully it will continue to inspire people as they take off on this journey. I am so glad I made the final leap to have lapband surgery. I wish I had done it years ago. It would have saved me from all the depression I had! M Re: Email address change> Hey , WOW!!! Guest guest
, I'm hit or miss on reading postings. Sorry I missed yours the first time through about losing your grandmother. My sincere sympathy. I lost my favorite, special grandmother in 1975 (I may have been your age back then) and to this day I miss her. The best thing is when I have a dream about her. I get to touch her and hold her and even smell her (Pond's cold cream always makes me think of her!), even if just for a little while. It seems so realy during the dream. Congratulations on your wt loss and I wish you continued success. Phyllis Re: Email address change> Hey , WOW!!! Just a few more pounds and you'll be there.. You go> girl!!! Guest guest
Again, I'm hit or miss on reading everything. I gather we are individually introducing ourselves to each other, so here goes. I'm Phyllis Drummond, an incredibly gorgeous (NOT) 57-year-old (just 57 years and 2 weeks - lol). I'm 5ft. 3 1/2 in. tall and weighed 284 (BMI of 49-yowie!). I was banded on 4/22/06 - just a week and a day ago. Before surgery I lost weight, especially once I went on the stricter preop diet in preparation for my gallbladder surgery, which Dr. Aceves did at the same time as the banding. Today I weighed in at 257 (8# less than last Sunday at Almater). I can't believe such success in three weeks. I have a Yorkshire Terrier, Toby (TobyEtta), named after my lab/setter named Toby (Tobias) who died when he was 5 of lymphoma; and, after my darling grandmother, known "down home in the shallow south" as Miss Etta. You'll see me mention Toby and it may sound like she's my child or grandchild. I'm just a silly "dog momma". I'm a nurse, working as a risk manager at a small hospital in beautiful Sonoma County, CA. I also monitor the doctors' practice at the hospital and coordinate quality review of their cases. I find it very interesting work - investigations, working with attorneys, and mostly working on projects to improve the quality of care of and safety for our patients. Thanks to all who have been so helpful to me as I prepared for my surgery and even more so since I got back. Rough first week!!! Phyllis :>)
