I hear some negative comments being said to a particular individual

about THEIR CHOICE. Now, we all love Dr. Aceves, and the staff

there...however, this is a place of support not to persuade people

to go with Dr. Aceves or to badger them about not going. Lets be

alittle optimistic when speaking to those that have a heavy decision

to make, it is not easy, I will say that even I had my own doubts

about going to Mexico. No matter whom the person chooses to go to,

whether in Mexico or in the US, this board should be supportive. All

I can say, is for everyone looking into getting the lapband to do

their research, know what is available to you whether in the states

or in Mexico. Keep in mind, that if you do go to Mexico, you may not

have the time or money to fly back for fills, thus you would have to

depend on a doctor closer to you, and with that you may have to pay

more money...but then again, with airline costs and hotels it may

come out to about the same. Just do your homework, and whatever you

choose to do then I wish you all the best...and I can for most on

here they would say the same thing. This is a PERSONAL JOURNEY, we

are here to support but it's a decison only the individual can make.

Lets be Positive, Supportive and most of all EMPATHETIC to the needs

of others.

I totally agree, Kelli. People must do their own research and come to the decision that is right for them. We may not agree, but should be supportive of everyone seeking to better their lives after having gone through the same struggles that have plagued all of us.
