Guest guest
Dear Steve, I am forwarding these details of the Non-Violent Communications courses to our group, In_Joy and I hope you will keep me informed of your next course so I can forward it, or send the info directly to the group (you’d need to be a member first, though: In_Joy/ ). In grace, Dayu From: Steve Pollack [mailto:swpollack1@...] Sent: Monday, September 03, 2007 3:46 PM Dayu D'sa Subject: NVC courses Hi Dayu, Would you believe there is a direct quote from Master Darshan which mirrors NVC philosophy? He wrote in the April 2001 Sat Sandesh: " We should live our lives listening to the souls and hearts of others. We should be sensitive to other people's feelings and needs. " Dr. Rosenberg is frequently reminding people that loving communication is all about finding the feelings and needs of others. I don't believe there is any one course in NVC, but so so many variations on this wonderful theme. Lots of books and CDs and DVDs available at www.cnvc.org Some of those items can be found cheaper on www.amazon.com if you search for Marshall Rosenberg and NVC There is now even a clever NVC card game available for less than $20, which is a fun way for groups, kids and families to learn the process. This is available online at: www.nvcproducts.com Miki Kashtan, one of the most popular NVC trainers, is scheduled to do an NVC retreat Feb. 22 thru 27, 2008, in Delray Beach. These retreats tend to be quite costly, but there is a lot of opportunity for learning and practice at them. Dr. Marshall Rosenberg will be appearing for a 9-day intensive retreat near Orlando in March 2008. But for someone who is new to this language of compassion and nonjudgment... I think " Nonviolent Communication: A Language for Life " is an effective introduction which also goes quite deeply into the philsophy and shows how it is really just an extension of ahimsa, etc. There are also some wonderful NVC teleclasses available, which are reasonably priced and so convenient. Please let me know if you want more info about them. Then of course there are the groups I am facilitating, which are basically NVC Practice/Support groups. Here is the next one I've got planned: Dear NVC friends, I recently had the pleasure of spending some quality time with my friend , and her friend Bine, as we explored the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. It turns out is quite interested in exploring NVC, and has graciously offered to host an NVC group at her home in City on: Friday, Sept. 28th, at 7:30pm. Please mark your calendar if you'd like to come. Kindly RSVP to me, Steve, at 305-947-9115, or email me at swpollack1@... You can use 's address, below, to get online directions. Her phone is included as well: Bine 5186 SW 122 Terrace City, FL 33330 Tel. 954-295-3189 To help me with what NVC folks call financial self-care, I request a contribution of $10 per person. But please know it's only a request, and I wouldn't want you to miss the learning, connections, compassion and fun for lack of funds, so please consider coming even if you choose not to make any contributions for whatever reason. Thank you! Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha! Play Monopoly Here and Now (it's updated for today's economy) at Games.
