My Dear -friend; I have to disagree on just a couple of points.

By and large I agree totally with what you are saying, particularly I

appreciate post-ops who stay here to continue supporting pre-ops and

those of us still in the process of losing - we need their experience

very much.

But two things need to be stated in mild disagreement in MHO.

I too have followed my manual, done everything I know to do, and some

of us do not have great results to attribute to following the manual,

in spite of following it closely. We are all individuals and it's a

crap shoot on our results. That, too, is covered in the manual. I've

lost 51 pounds in six months, and I am compulsively obedient!

The other point is that not everyone retains information at the same

rate or in the same way. The educators among us will agree that some

learn by reading once, some have to read, listen, read again, write,

recite and test and still have trouble retaining information. Again -

individuality.

Individuality in delivering and receiving information is obvious in

all of this, too. What has been a tremendous help to many of us in

receiving forthright responses can be hurtful to those with thinner

skin, less experience on the board or life experiences that make them

more vulnerable.

In any family, the older siblings sometime snap at the toddlers

asking why, why, why, and the middle children, like you and I, try to

keep peace - and MGB is a mighty big family.

You know I love you - Tj
