Guest guest
Dear Pat, I would bet the ranch that you have Sjogrens Syndrome. Swollen painful glands are a problem for me half of the year. It is from the Sjogrens. The eyes - PLEASE get some Theratears or other preservative single application eye drops. And wear sunglasses all the time outside and stay out of drafts- the wind, etc... anything that will increase evaporation of the few tears you have in your eyes! When my eyes are really in crisis, I use Lacrilube ointment - it is made for eyes and is a vaseline type consistency, I put it inside the lower lid and then wear an eye patch over this closed eye for a day. Then I switch and do the other eye the next day. Of course, I stay home most days and don't have to drive to work. I hope this helps. I am so worried about your corneas, I can't wait till you see the opthamologist and get the Schirmers test. The rheumatologist can check for Ro and LA antibodies - specific for Sjogrens, however not everyone has them (I don't). Good Luck, Check out this site right away! \Sjogrens Foundation
Guest guest
I would say the swollen glands are from the Sjorgren's. My mom has Sjogren's and her glands are swollen also. Sjorgen's affects your glands from what I understand. Lee Ann [ ] swollen glands From: pbias@... Can anything be done for swollen glands? The local doc isn't concerned about them but they have been swollen for years. I'm tired of them being swollen. Is it from the PA or just from the Sjogren's Syndrome? At one time I thought maybe it was the drainage from the psoriasis like the clear fluid from a blister and draining down from the scalp into the neck glands. Boy, am I really stretching here to give myself an explanation. Anyone got any ideas? Guest guest
Sorry about your Sjogren's syndrome diagnosis, Annie. You can take comfort in that fact that we are constantly working to understand these diseases better and that, in the near future, treatment options will improve. Even a cure could come. Guest guest
Sorry to hear about your official diagnosis, but I'm glad you are thinking positive. You can only take one day at a time, and most cases are the milder form, so you just have to deal with things as they come. Best of luck to you. Noreen [ ] Swollen glands Hi everyone, Thanks to those of you who sent me a reply. I had my appointment yesterday and have been diagnosed with Sjogrens syndrome. It came as no surprise really. Besides the fact that one or two of you mentioned that possibility, all the research I have done so far leads to that conclusion. So I am at that place all too familiar with you. I want someone to tell me exactly what to expect and nobody can. I think we have an inbuilt mechanism that won't stop asking questions in order to prepare us for what lies ahead, and like a stuck record it continues to ask even when there are no answers. However, I have whittled my feelings down to this: I have two options, one is to assume that my particular course will be the most difficult with my immune system attacking and destroying all of my glands, organs, joints, muscles etc and the rest of my life will be spent in severe pain, OR I can assume that I am going to get a mild form of this disease and will need to use fake tears and suck lemon drops. I have so often looked at the worst scenarios in my life and it has done nothing to prepare me for whatever came - SO - I choose the most positive approach. Not denial...just high hopes. Thanks to you all for being there. Annie

So your glands swelled and went down after a short duration on LDN? May be your body trying to detoxify something bad. you may need to purchase Heel-Detox Kit. Type Heel-Detox Kit into your search engine. I took this, my alternative medicine put me on it last year. It contains a lymph gland detoxifying agent with other detoxifying agents. Guest guest
I have erythema of the vocal cords and arytenoids, inferior turbinate hypertrophy along with many other problems that my doctor had noted after examination. There are many symptoms that can affect people differntly as individuals. You may want to research this more with your own doctor. Guest guest
yes, I had swollen glands. I'd say most of them were at one time or another. the one under my left arm bothered me the most. something that hasn't really been talked about but I'd like to hear coments on is problems with breast swelling, feverish and very sore nipples. wondering if the men exposed had these symptoms too. this had gotten better while out of the mold, but my hit last week brought it back and reminded me just how painful it was. > > > > Does anyone here ever notice swollen glands when you are affected by > mold? Guest guest
Calliope, Congratulations on your upcoming twins, that’s great news. Usually your body does tell you exactly what you need during pregnancy. It’s important to remember that carrying multiples takes a whole lot out of a woman’s body. My advice is to do the best you can nutritionally and try to relax, because you will quickly return to yourself once you deliver anyway. If you decide to breast-feed, you will still need more calories and water than you would normally, but the cravings should go away fairly quickly. I hope this eases your mind a little. Staying as calm and stress free as possible will help so much. You let us know when you have those little ones. *hugs* Janet From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of carolG Sent: Thursday, November 09, 2006 9:12 AM health Subject: Re: Swollen glands Congrat. on the upcoming twins arrival. Guest guest
Hi Calliope... good to hear from you, sorry it's under illness though.. Can you make yourself some super tonic?? It won't hurt the baby... My DIL took it during both pregs.. Great antibiotic. You can take it every couple hours when you're ill.. Also a raw garlic clove or two will help illness... As for your eating habits, do the best you can.. that is all any of us can do.. For protein, try peas, beans, nuts, eggs. Do a raw egg in a morning smoothie. (Farm fresh egg if you can get them) Another would be Essiac... and also, drink alot of fruit and/or veggie juices. And also don't forget your water to flush out your system.. Suzi PS Where do you live... is there anything we can send you?? Guest guest
So, quick update. I did some hot and cold compresses, and had my husband do some reflexology work on me when he got home, and that seemed to get things moving around, kicking up some mucous and such, and I began to be able to swallowmore easily. I'd also done some raw garlic during the day. This morning I woke up and the whole underside of my jaw and everything around the glands is swollen up, though the lymph nodes are down a bit. I look really bizarre. I think I have the mumps. I'll definitely be making up a batch of super tonic this evening. But for now, back to bed. Thank you all for your advice and support. Guest guest
Calli, I was wondering about mumps when you said you were swollen...Definitely the super tonic... you can also do a poultice of using mullein and camomile flowers. Apply as warm as possible without inconvenience, cover well and change the application when cool. Repeat until the swelling is relieved. Suzi Calliope <ladyofnomads@...> wrote: So, quick update. Welcome to our group. What is your name please? Your glands are swollen because your body is overloaded with toxins.
