Guest guest
How about a raw food diet? Barring that, cramps during menstruation are usually a sign of dampness (TCM). Giving teas with warming herbs such as ginger, cayenne, cinnamon, cloves, etc. can and will help with painful menstruation as they correct the dampness (TCM - Traditional Chinese Medicine and also Ayurveda). Guest guest
Jina, I had some painful periods when I was a teen. My mom gave me a heating pad. I also cut the caffeine out of my diet (soda, chocolate, and coffee are the usual offenders with teens). Lots of water and calming/warming teas are good too. Look for herbs like ginger root, cramp bark, skullcap, chaste tree berry, and passionflower. Also, make sure she is exercising regularly. The endorphins from a good exercise routine are a natural pain killer.
