Wondering if my homemade delish saukeraut, no vinegar and/or my side dish of my home grown tomatoes (not saying they are low acid tomatoes but not sure) would give me a case of what may be called "acid reflux." Not sure if that is the right term. It was a burning on my chest, travelled to my throat, then had to throw up this whitish stuff that look like saliva. Would the combo cause this "explosive" reaction or maybe each item separately?. I has happend twice recently. It's a quick heaving (throwing up) process, and then feel great afterwards. No gas however. Havent' been great drinking water or many liquids as a matter of fact, been in a slump, so have to get back on track and even back to juicing. Thanks. carolg

It could be the acid stimulating foods together.... Did you eat the combo the other times you got sick?? Also, eating particular foods, drinking alcoholic or carbonated beverages, eating too fast or too much, eating fatty or spicy foods, drinking too much caffeine, or eating too much high-fiber foods can cause heartburn. Forgot to mention that Manuka Honey also helps acid reflux usually very well.
