Guest guest
Shari, Sorry to hear you are "surplus." Interesting word. There has to be greater opportunities out there and hoping your market is sweeter than what I have found here. I know you love cooking --UN so maybe an opportunity that can open up preparing meals for seniors at their houses, or perhaps follow the stars around and make them healthy meals as one person who does preparing macro meals does. Bummer!. Gloria can fill us in on the actress she and I discussed yesterday. Lucky you to say you liked your job and great pay. I hated the Pit from Hell job at Comcast dealing with lousy passive aggressive lying management and angry customers--over the computer...at least 2 at a time too with 2 different problems plus emails...micro-managed to the max...timed constantly and each word was evaluated--"hoped" was a bad word to use with the customers which I learned of when they wrote me up a "bad" girl. Your best days are still ahead. Look at all the experience you have under your belt in many areas. Give yourself a HUG!!! hugs, carolgSV <shavig@...> wrote: I'll elect myself to try it! Just found out today I am being surplused. Yes, I am officially surplus. What a word to use when telling a 56 year old woman her job has disappeared! I have visions of loading me into the truck and taking me to the dump. Not good for the self image or self worth. Poop. I really liked my job. I know, I know, another door will open, blah, blah, blah. It just doesn't feel good. I love the people I work with and I loved the kids especially. I even loved getting up at ODarkthirty. Pay was great, days off wonderful, and the benefits were nice too. Off to another new adventure. Funny how all my adventures have come AFTER 50! Maybe I'll go back and apply to be a flight attendant again. Wouldn't that be a hoot! I certainly have more experience in stressful situations than most of those airheads, oops, I was one of those airheads 30 years ago! I'm just running off at the mouth because if I don't I'll just sit here and cry. Shari
