Guest guest
Is your mom on any meds? What is her diet like? What does she drink? Does she drink much water? Let's start here. And welcome aboard. Do browse the files and message archives.. much info in both.... Just curious, who's your relative? I need to try to figure out why my mother bloats whenever she eats. She bloats up to the point that she looks like she is 9 months pregnant. It is very uncomfortable and is only relieved by diarrhea, eventually. Then the cycle starts again as soon as she breaks down and eats something again. It doesn't seem to matter a lot what she eats, although she noticed that eating oatmeal and a fresh orange didn't seem to cause it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. How low will we go? Guest guest
Without knowing much about her history or diet here I will go out on a limb and say she needs more fiber like right now. You are describing a common problem in American women these days referred to as “irritable bowel syndrome.” What it really is – a wake up call from your digestive tract hehehe. You should get plenty of good help here and in turn maybe can help your mom relieve this uncomfortable problem. Welcome to the group. Guest guest
How about keeping a food diary for every meal and the results in case there's a pattern there you're not seeing. Start changing a meal at a time by adding fiber and digestive enzymes and probiotics. Becky It isn’t the load that breaks us down; it’s the way we carry it. Guest guest
I would say plant-based digestive enzymes for sure, and lots of probiotics. Eliminate dairy, sugar, and wheat from her diet. Carol http://www.bluegreensolutions.com
