I have used dried ones in marinades. Never for medicinal purposes. You could try steeping some in hot tea if you liked the flavor of gin - that's what is used in making gin.

Juniper Berries

Our juniper bushes in the complex that we manage are producing massive amounts of berries at the moment.I've done some research as to what they may be good for, and it sounds interesting.Has anyone had any actual experience with them? What were the results? How were they used? The usual stuff. Thanks, Gang!!

Juniper oil smells great and is nice blended with Cedar or bay for

men. You can dry some berries with leaf and use for potporri for

shoes or to scent drawers (the dresser type, although who know what

is kept in there) :)

I am not sure how the berries on the bushes in your complex are

diferent from Mono-sperma, but potentially they could be used in tea?

I didn't know that.

Even during my " wet " years, I never drank gin, not even in

desparation.

From some websites I visited, it appears to have some good medicinal

properties, but I was wondering if it was worth the effort, as so

many other herbs etc do the same thing.

I like the idea of a potporri for shoes. I think I'll try that.
