Guest guest
Alice, I would prefer to have the group remain here or perhaps moved to a different mail server such as Freelists.com or Topica.com. Bulletin boards pose somewhat of a challenge to those of us who use screen readers. I took a look at the web link you provided and had a hard time following one thread because of having to scroll down the screen and not really understand where one thread began and ended. I also had problems with my screen reading properly focusing on the information presented on the right side of the screen. Perhaps this is due to my lack of experience using bulletin boards. (If or can give me any pointers regarding access, I'm using the latest versions of JAWS and Window-Eyes.) I respect and understand that other list members may feel differently. This is just one perspective from someone who uses a screen reader.
Guest guest
Hi and well as one more screen reader user here jaws 4.5, I'd agree wih that bullitin boards don't work well for our software and would ratherb see this list on another e-mail forum if not this one. Question for the Group - I Won't Poll the Other Way - I Want Everyone To Participate > > > I have been given the option to move CI Hear to a bulletin board rather than the group. This will be a little different as you would not be receiving mail in your mailbox but instead you would be go to the bulletin board to view the posts. Posts would be broken down by subject so if there's a subject you are not interested in, you just wouldn't go there. Take a look at this and see what you think. If you think it might be a good thing ( no ads or spam would go thru it ) please let me know. Likewise - if you do not feel comfortable with it, I would like to know that also. > > http://brain.hastypastry.net/forums/ > > Also - just a hint of what's coming in the near future. This bulletin board will be easily accessed by everyone. I can't tell you any more than that but be watching for some very big and exciting news from CI Hear. > > Alice > > > > > >

Guest guest
Alice, I can see an advantage in that posts could be categorized by topics. However, I really like this email/post format. I can tell easily where to pick up from the posts I haven't read previously and I read every single post!. I like that format too because the posts are in chronological order. I vote not to change the format. Gayle > > I have been given the option to move CI Hear to a bulletin board > > > > > >
