A burning question-LOL and serious hoopla!

Hello All, Can anyone give me some insight about how the estrogen patch helps

nausea when it seems it may be prescribed to help with depression after the

MGB. I know it serves women well hormore-wise, so maybe this is what helps with

the nausea. I am doing so much better in regards to eating, etc. and the ulcer.

I let up on taking some of the meds about 2 to 3 months out, and got an ulcer. I

noticed a remarkable difference in the nausea after Dr. Rutledge prescribed the

patch. I was amazed. I had not been on any hormones in years, and felt Dr.

Rutledge was majoring in the minors everytime he mentioned the estrogen patch! I

was desperate because I was nauseated, so I got the prescription filled. I am 6

months out, and finally feel wonderful. I cannot believe the difference! I still

have some eating issues if I skip one dose of the medicines Dr. Rutledge

prescribed.I can tell the ulcer is resolving itself, and I am very happy! I am

so glad I had the MGB and I appreciate

every doctor that performs the MGB and everyone who works on each of the

various staffs. This message board has been so helpful too! UPDATE: I weighed

316 a month before MGB. I weighed 307 the day of surgery.Today I weigh 222. I am

working out faithfully, and have a personal trainer. I have gone from having

very little stamina, feeling as if my life was about over, to having a renewed

zest toward living and I appreciate my health so much more than I ever have

before. The MGB journey started well, I detoured by not following Dr.'s

orders...BUT I can now say... the journey is beginning to be so much fun! I wore

a size 26-28 and a 52 F cup bra. I am wearing size 18/20 in clothes, 38/40 bras.

All newbies- Take your medicines, exercise, and get ready...it can be wonderful!

I am 6+ months out and feeling so much better! I appreciate everyone working

with the MGB. All the doctors and their staffs do a marvelous work! I have lost
