Hello : I have trouble with the week-ends also. If I keep moving (the wife has no problem giving me things to do) and I have two larger meals the first around 1 or 2 and the second around 7 or 8 I stay on track. I also found that eating mostly meat on the weekends helps a lot to. I dont have a problem dealing with the mild hunger panes that I might get during the day; however after 9 is my weak spot so eating late fills me up and I try to be asleep by 11-11:30 before the food digests. As for the scale, you seemed to be a little odsessed with it, put it away for a couple of weeks. As I understand it women's weight fluctuates a lot from day to day. Even when you get to your goal there are going to be days that the scale disappoints you. Judging by your pictures I would not worry that much about the scale anyway. Good Luck Ken Mills <tracy@...> wrote: So I got down to 164 on Friday morning. I was on top of the world with only 4 lbs to go to goal. Friday night I ate normally. But Saturday man I was wanting to snack all day! It was like the food was calling to me and I wasn’t even hungry! I don’t know what I was…I wasn’t bored, I had plenty to do. But it was like this sick craving in the back of my head saying

“Eat , go on and Eaaattttt”. So, I would grab a cookie here, some crackers there. I gained 2 lbs over the weekend! All my hard work down the drain. Today I almost felt like giving up but I remembered that I am so close to goal. Plus it isn’t so hard since I am at work all day. I walked 1 ½ miles after work tonight and I counted my calories on my fitday program. So far only 764. I had my protein drink for breakfast, a chicken thigh (leftover fried chicken from dinner) for lunch, and a left over chicken wing and green beans for dinner. (No one felt like cooking tonight lol). Besides being tired of chicken today, I did pretty good. Now if I can just walk passed my kitchen and get in bed without food magically ending up in my mouth, I will be ok…. Oh, I hear you sister. My husband has been away in China for a week, and I have a week to go, and all I want to do is snack, snack, snack. It's been brutal. I have to keep telling myself that nothing tastes as good as feeling thin. I am doing okay, but the munchies are killing me. I have been reminding myself of how cool it is to be in a size 14 for the first time in 13 years. I started out at a size 20 back in April. Snacking is just not worth it. Hey, Girls. I hear you both loud and clear! I'm in week #3 and the

munchies are hard to overcome some days. Today was difficult but as I

stepped on the scale this a.m. and saw a drop of 3 lbs., it brought me back

to reality. The sad thing is that any one of us can gain weight over a

weekend. I'm sure that you and will be back on track after one day

and drop the slight gain.

Thanks to all of you again for being so helpful and supportive!

Hi Ken, you are

so right about the scale. The day I wrote that post I thought for sure I would

wake up the next day with something missing (some pounds!) but not so. I

weighed the same! I do need to put the scale up and only weigh once a week. It

ruins my whole day when that lying scale doesn’t tell me what I want…….it

is a digital scale and I was thinking…maybe….the battery is getting

low…?? HAHAHA

I'm with you all - the weekends (and some evenings) are doing me in!! Why do we want to snack so much? I'm still very huge, but have lost over 55 pounds and feel so much better about myself. So why do I spend the weekends un-doing the good work I've done during the week? If anyone has tips for getting beyond the munchies, please let us know!!! I've tried the strategy of getting up and finding a project to do, but then I think I "need a break" and that has always (in the past) meant sit down and eat something!! Hang in there, All!!!
