of acne there. So it seems like my bloodstream would benefit from

the purifying action, but how effective burdock is I don't know and

what effects it will have on my oily skin I also don't know.

It has nothing to do with adding oil to you. I used Essiac tea for awhile

which is mostly burdock with sheep sorrel, slippery elm and turkey rhurbarb

and I even had mole and things that had come up to go away.

But was reading Dr. Norman 's book last nite, " Colon Health " and

he says anyone having pimples etc needs to clean the colon and you

will watch that go away.

Of course this means a good diet also as not to dirty the colon again

and to produce good blood.

Dear ,

Essiac Tea can, indeed, be bought " pre-brewed " , or brewed at

home. For a great source go to: www.anursesherbaltea.com/

The herbalist there brews the tea and sells it for only $8.50 a

bottle! (It is around $30.00 most other places.)

Good fortune....

Neil

Burdock Root Burdock root is one of the best blood purifiers. It cleanses and eliminates impurities from the body very rapidly. It is the main ingredient of Essiac or Ezziac Tea which many people use for cancer and blood purification. It is also a nourishing herb, excellent for building and strengthening the entire system. Burdock root is high in a number of minerals, especially iron. It is specifically recommended as a tonic and a cleansing herb for the liver and lymph system. It is often combined with dandelion root as a liver cleanser and endocrine tonic tea.Raw Burdock is sold in Oriental markets. It is a very nourishing and delicious herb. It was used by ancient herbalists for weak uteruses and to aid in childbirth. However, in modern times it is not considered a "female herb" specifically. Yet it is a wonderful herb to take during pregnancy because of its high concentration of vitamins, minerals, and trace

minerals. It is also a mild diuretic.Burdock tea taken freely will heal all kinds of skin diseases, boils, canker sores, leprosy, etc. It will clear persistent teenage acne if taken regularly for three to four weeks.Hot fomentations of the tea can be used on swellings. It is good to apply externally as a salve for skin eruptions, burns, wounds, swellings, and hemorrhages. It is slightly bitter but easily masked by sweeter tasting herbs like licorice and fennel seed. It is nontoxic and served as a food throughout the Orient. As capsules the recommended dosage is 1 capsule 2 times/day. As a tea use 1/2 teaspoon of powder twice daily in a glass of water. Or make a decoction of the root using 1 ounce of root to 1 1/2 pints of boiling water. Drink a glassful three or four times a day. It is a pleasant tasting tea and can be used to camouflage the bitter taste of dandelion root which is an excellent complement.Just a few of

Watching an old Charlton Heston movie the other day. Someone tried to fix an owie that the local doctor had started on. They put burdock, charcoal and a wee bit of seal oil on it. The dr was so disgusted it cracked me up. He said later the patient would survive if the wife quit trying to set medicine back 200 years! LOL

I always remember which one is burdock by

the seed pods…they are spiny like sea urchins and the prickles break off

easily and are like velcro in the dog’s fur. We don’t have them

down here in SE Florida (at least, not that I know of), but they were all over

the dog park up where we lived in PA. I had no idea they were so useful,

though!

I believe both are OK. I had trouble with the bitterness of the burdock

root tea, myself. It is difficult for me to drink. The dandelion tea is

far less bitter.
