well that stinks. I know I had my fair share over the years since my early

20's.

If it's lyme related, I have no idea.

I had something strange happen to me. My ovary twisted all the way around

and it blew up to almost 11 cm's....which resulted in gangrene. Talk about

PAIN!!! I was one sick cookie. People used to call me twisted but sheesh ;)

Good luck to ya...I know those aren't any fun!

They are related. Back in september I discovered I have ovarian cysts one

on each side. Never had them before. I did read something that lyme can cause

cysts. Hopefully yours arent too big. take care and good luck.

I don't know if Lyme and ovarian cysts are related or not but I have Lyme

and I HAD ovarian cysts ... many, many ovarian cysts. It finally got so bad

I had a complete hysterectomy about seven years ago and the doc said I had

cysts *inside* my ovaries. For years prior to the surgery I would have

horrendous ovary pain ... felt like they were playing tennis with each

other. The hysterectomy was the best thing I ever did. :-) But we never

did come to a conclusion if they were related or not. I am a DES baby ...

my mom took DES when she was pregnant for me to stop from having a

miscarriage and it has been proven that female DES babies have a lot of

uterine/vaginal/gyn problems.

And on to another topic ... the " waves " that we get. I also get them and I

have described them as exactly that for quite awhile now. I get waves of

nausea and dizziness. Then waves of rolling neck/head pain. If I am

standing up when they happen I have to sit down, or risk falling down. Not

fun. But they're especially interesting when you're in a group of people

you don't know and all of a sudden your face turns ash gray, or white, and

you grab for anything you can reach. :o}

Y'all have a good day!

Ann (TX ... where it's ONLY going to be 110 today.)

Same here - tons of ovarian cysts, even cysts inside the ovary. When I

aquired my surgery records - guess what ?

The surgeon noted on the report : Late infection of parasitic diseases !!!!

I am planning on meeting with him to find out exactly how the parasitic part

showed itself etc ....

I have a friend at work who has been diagnosed with an ovarian cyst. They biopsied it to make sure it wasn't cancer, and it isn't. She came to me because I am the "health guru (read that "health nut"), and I said I'd find out all I can about alternate methods. I'm off to check the files and archives, but if anyone has something they can share, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks all for being there!!!

Personally I would cut out all dairy and of course, meat. Actually read that as any animal products.

I used to have "female" problems on a regular basis until I went vegetarian and then when I went raw, everything cleared up in that area. While I was never diagnosed with cysts, I did have a tubal pregnancy that I attribute to poor diet.

the one thing that helped me when I

had these was cutting down on the caffeine. It’s tough if you are used to

them perking you up during the day, but slowly cutting back and replacing it

with clean water would do her a world of good.

That's one of the things I recommended. That and cutting out ALL

animal products and by products. And artificial flavour enhancers and

sweetners.

I told them that baby steps are the easiest, so start slow and work

up.

Each case is different and in reference to living beings, nothing is exact. I have been vegetarian for more than 20 years and I eat mainly raw, I got cysts, fibroids and gall bladder stones

I had ovarian cancer 12 years ago. I've had my ca125 monitored ever since.

I was diagnosed with cml in 2004. Ever since my cml diagnosis, my ca125 has

been above normal. It has also risen as high as 183, then gone down to 43

for no reason. All scans are clear. My oncologist concludes that the gleevec

has something to do with it. I think it's from fluid retention that I feel.

If you've had ovarian cysts and are monitored by ca125 while on Gleevec,

beware that the number may be elevated.
