Hi At least one of the members of this servlist has had Cholesteatoma of the earcanal, so I have put his name in the subject line in the hope he still receives these emails and will notice it and hopefully be able to reply. My own experience of Cholesteatoma is in the attic of the ear – one occurrence in 1999 in the right ear, and recent diagnosis (likely, not confirmed) recurrence in the right and first occurrence in the left ear. I hope you are soon rid of it and feeling much better. Kind regards Kazzy From: cholesteatoma [mailto:cholesteatoma ] On Behalf Of Stone MotherSent: 27 November 2010 06:12cholesteatoma Subject: Cholesteatoma in the ear canal HI. I am new to this, was just diagnosed with cholesteatoma in my right ear canal, not on my eardrum but in the canal itself, which has ate through and exposed the bone and has caused me an earache for the last 6 months. I cannot wait for this earache to be gone but I am not looking forward to surgery. Has anyone else ever heard of a c-toma in the ear canal? I have read many things on cholesteatomas but so far all of them are about c-tomas that are on or behind the eardrum. Just looking for some info and some support. Thanks.
