Guest guest Posted October 7, 2010 Report Share Posted October 7, 2010 Hi All, Well, ten years after my last surgery my Otologist is now wanting to go and play in my other ear, but at the same time he is not saying that I have a C-toma in that one; when I asked he said " not exactly.... " I won't be consenting to surgery until he explains himself fully - and he knows me well enough to know and expect that - but in the meantime I'm curious. Has anyone here ever had a mastoid operation for any other reason ? Meanwhile I've just this week had a meatoplasty on my C-toma ear - again by the same surgeon - in the hope that it will help to prevent the outer ear infections that I seem to get repeatedly. I know this is often done at the same time as the original mastoidectomy, but I can't remember seeing anyone post here that they have had it done as a separate procedure. Again, any experiences ?
